I am concerned that we have a team in decline, hidden a bit by playing in a very weak new conference. Currently, I don't think the B1G can hold a candle to the old CCHA and certainly not the WCHA. Wisconsin is terrible, MSU is pedestrian, PSU is only a few years removed from club level, and the Gophers not their old selves. Our team is hoping to compete in a very mediocre league, and not succeeding. God bless Red for resurrecting a moribund program into champions. An important inflection point is here lest the program slips back to the 70s.
