My guess is that we can’t lose another B1G game in order to win the division and go to Indy. With how tough our division is, it’s usually a 1 loss B1G scenario.
With that said, if we can get by PSU in 2 weeks, I think we can get to the Wiscy game with still only this one loss. By that point in the season, maybe just maybe our offense can get to being a C+ (right now, they’re overall a D). I know a C+ doesn’t sound great, but if we had that yesterday, we win by 10 points (this defense will give us a shot every single week). I don’t see Wisconsin lighting us up so 21 points scored by either team, will probably be enough for the win (that will probably be a game like we saw last night). Again, that’s a game where we will most likely have to rely on the pass because we won’t be able to handle their front running the ball. If we win, then that leaves us with a home game against OSU where a C+/B- Michigan offense may be enough to win that game.
I know it’s a long shot but PSU probably thought the same thing at this point last season. We have talent on offense, it’s just a matter of getting everyone to get on the same page (that includes these offensive coaches). They just need to get mildly better (and consistent) and we could still make some noise by season’s end.
As always, GO BLUE!
