Everyone says the B1G East is superior to the West. With 2 weeks to go here are some interesting facts.
the east will send 4 teams to bowl games. The West is on track to send as many as 5. Not settled yet.
leading candidate for offensive player of the year (Taylor) from the west.
leading candidates for freshman of the year ( Martinez and Moore) from the west.
leading kicker and scorer from the west ( guy from Illinois)
biggest upset win over top 10 team of the year ... Purdue over OSU
Didn't look at other stuff, but the west division is not that far behind the east ... And they are trending up. Everyone beats each other up. In every game someone has to win and lose. Don't be surprised if at the end of the bowl season the B1G comes thru with something like a 6-3 record.
