UM has faced only one experienced QB (Utah), and lost. Cook has tons of experience so confusing him with various looks shouldn't make a big difference.

It's clearly a tougher challenge for UM. I agree plus better wr's.

Even Harbaugh mentioned this in his PC.

We're a much different team now then when we played Utah...this staff prepares well and makes adjustments on the run. Cook is good and has some pretty good receivers, they're a well coached team that absolutely has a hatred towards Michigan. IMO we need to start fast and get them on their heels, though they're an experienced team that has played in big games...this year they seem fragile. Keep the mojo going boys.

and I'll counter that by stating the following:

What good defenses has MSUs played? Exactly.. none.

Also, average to below average offenses have run & pass all over that D. I don't see what UM would be any different given our level of execution and play calling.

Add in the injuries for Sparty (DB, OL, RB) etc and I think our D stifles the run & puts Cook under constant pressure. Cook is just as likely to throw INTs as Rudock if he's under duress. I think we're successful with a controlled passing game that moves the sticks and we'll find ways to score in the red zone.

Travis Wilson (Utah) hurt us more with his legs then his arm. If you pressure Cook, he looks more like Matt Stafford then Tom Brady.

It will be less about confusing him and more about getting pressure in his face quickly while playing tight coverage on the WR's. I don't care if you're a veteran, if you have no time, and nowhere to throw, it's hard to be successful. We just need to keep their screen game in check as I assume that will be their counter for our aggressive DL.

Okay, but how many QB's has MSU faced that are NFL prospects? They've given up alot of points to a bunch of mediocre QB's.

Michigan was a bad mix of vanilla for seven years, both sides, mostly because of weak lines.

You can draw up the grandest plans, but they're worth about a pound of lint if line play is weak on O, and only adequate with CBs supplying 10-yard cushions on D.

How much prep was really required to play Michigan the past few years?

Not much.

All of that ugly has disappeared.

And if there's a staff that has provided a plethora of different looks already, with more
in store than has met the eye, it's Harbaugh's.

One guarantee for Saturday: it won't look anything like any of the previous seven meetings.

Go Blue. Always.

Yes sir, this will be a UM/MSU game the likes of which we haven't seen in a decade. UM will not run from them, will not be intimidated, will not permit the BS extra-curricular or getting their QB pounded without retaliation, and they will not back down. Execution will bring them victory over this formidable opponent.
