Well, here’s another $3 mil that has to be added to athletic department budgets (60 new scholarships at $50k). Then how much for all the support expenses (recruiting, coaching, training table, travel, uniforms and equipment, locker room facilities and space) — at least double that $50k for each athlete. How about Title IX?
60+ new scholarships plus all the associated expenses will add at least $6-7 million to athletic department budgets. In Michigan’s case that’s a quick 2-1/2 to 3% increase in the athletic department budget!
That’s the ‘uses’. What will the ‘sources’ be?
