Sort of an odd question but was wondering

So Michigan is an Adidas school. Jay Harbaugh posted a picture of him and some famous guy Jay was wearing a plain black Nike jacket. Since Jay is a coach of a school with an Adidas contract is it okay for him to wear Nike stuff as long as it is not Michigan Nike stuff?
