the road is such a stupid stat, for so many reasons.
It’s as dumb as discounting our win vs PSU or Colorado in 16 because they weren’t ranked when we beat them, among other things.
Dantonio has had a great run with some great teams in this his 12th year but he’s only beat a whopping two teams on the road who finished ranked, for all the talk of his big wins. PSU will be his third this year.
In the end? This stupid stat is gone but State stinks, and will likely finish 6-6 and out of the top 40 or 50 but hey, we beat a ranked team in the road.
And my point is not to discount this win, it’s the stupidity of the stat.
