He said that Bellichek (I assume this isn't exclusive to him) will call throw away plays so that the run pass balance is closer to even. He said that makes it very difficult for future opposing defenses to figure out tendencies. Maybe that's football 101. Obviously, if your close to 50/50 run/pass the numbers don't show a tendency. But is it important enough to run throw away plays?
