As Josh reported early this week, UMass transfer Josh Wallace will be visiting Michigan today and tomorrow.
Wallace has already visited Oklahoma earlier this week and will be heading to Virginia Tech this weekend.
Michigan's interest in Wallace makes a lot of sense. While they have depth in talent, the group is lacking in experience. Wallace is a 4-year starter and 2-time captain at UMass. Michigan has prioritized experience and leadership in the portal.
What this means is Michigan will not be promising anything to Wallace other than an opportunity to compete and contribute and be a leader in the CB room.
The same cannot be said for Virginia Tech who is almost explicitly promising him a CB1 role. Va Tech is heading into its second season under head coach Brent Pry after going 3-8 last year.
Wallace's choice could be as simple as unlimited playing time in a rebuilding program or chance at starter/solid contributor on a National Championship contender.

Our Josh Henschke is currently at the National College Showcase at Wayne State, but I am sure he will have an update later today or tomorrow regarding the visit and whether Michigan pushed for any sort of commitment.
