My first time seeing Peters live was for his season opener back in August. Not his best game - really struggled in the first half and had trouble finding his receivers. And yet, I came out of that game higher on his future potential than I expected to going in.

What I came away most impressed with was how even though he was not having a good day throwing the football, he found a way to bring his team back and win the football game against a very talented Lawrence Central squad. Kid has a lot of gamer in him. He was probably under 50% passing for the game, but he made some big completions when he needed to. The issues he struggled with were technique or mechanical and things that could easily be fixed - and were fixed in later games that season. The physical ability was there, he just had an off game. He's not a finished, polished product, don't get me wrong, but physically he does not have any limitations. He has a big enough arm, his delivery is clean, the ball comes off his hand well and he has the size and athleticism to make something happen when the pocket collapses around him. Obviously a very solid pick up, and a player who has the moxie I expect Harbaugh is looking for at his quarterback position.
