I went back and watched some video of the kid (from both high school and at Williams). Some thoughts:
- no question he has a great jumper - great form, high and quick release, range well beyond the three point line - looks to be every bit the shooter Stauskas was if not better - in fact, I think he has a quicker/more effective release than Nik did as a freshman
- looks to me like he grew some between high school and Williams - perhaps an inch or two - looked to be 6'5" or 6'6" in his high school film and now around 6'7"
- he has a nice handle - similar to Stauskas - definitely has the ability to put the ball on the floor
- didn't see a lot of explosion/vertical from him - but sometimes you get that when you grow late or still growing into your body - it will be interesting to see if he's improved this with another year of maturity/work in strength and conditioning.
- didn't see that he can use his left hand - hopefully, this is something else he's been working on over the past year
Has anyone seen him play since he got to UM?
