1. If you consider Charbonnet a five star (as others do), we have three five stars from Oklahoma, California and Georgia. That's impressive. I can't remember the last time that we signed multiple five stars, and none were from so much as a B1G state.
2. Hill is the most impressive recruiting victory that UM has had since Prescott Burgess (5 star in 2003). Elite safety pursued by everyone with no ties here. Moreover, while he said academics mattered, his list wasn't exactly comprised of the US News Top 25, so there was reason to think he would be more Myron Rolle than some others.
3. He's saying all the right things, but UM needs to win to close the deal. If he doesn't intend to sign until February, that means this is far from over. First order of business is to get him to sign in December. I don't think we need to make the playoffs to keep him (he committed to us when we're sitting here at #19), but we cannot go 8-4, get blown out by OSU and expect to sign him. When you sign a five star kid from Oklahoma as opposed to Detroit, there is a lot less tying him to the school.
4. Someone give Moore a raise. I'm not kidding. He will be in huge demand this offseason. I won't be surprised if Saban goes after him. Guys like Saban and Fisher value recruiting over everything else. Saban barely recruits himself, but he has a great operation. He certainly knows Moore now.
5. This is a great shot of momentum. Hopefully, we keep it going. The schedule sets up well for this team. If PSU upsets OSU, that early November game is huge.
