He plays at a position that is one of the most prone to injuries not to mention the length of the careers in the league at this position are very short even for the good backs. I don't see an issue of him missing out on this game.
There are also other factors in play. Karan has a child and the possibility in one play losing that financial security in essentially an exhibition game. That's a lot your laying on the line. No, he won't be a first/second day pick but he has an NFL future. I see both sides of the argument but it's not always as black and white as people make it. Just my thoughts.
