Run blocking was good early on. Perfect example came on the first third down play of the game, where Isaac ripped off about a 14-yd gain over right tackle. A pulling Bredesen and fullback Poggi deliver textbook blocks, and the entire right side of the line did their job as well.

Pass Pro in the opening drive was good too.

Speight's up and down play continues. For example he does a good job of finding Crawford on a third and eight in the first scoring drive (second or third read) and then throws a nice touchdown pass to Crawford in the same series.

But on a first and ten, following Cincinnati's first score, Speight has DPJ open on a short crossing pattern - an easy completion - but Speight throws it way too high. I thought Brock Huard analyzed it perfectly when he said, everyone looks at the interceptions, but those throws on first down passes ... Those are the ones that allow you to run on 2nd and 3 or 2nd and 4. That is a big reason the offense can't develop rhythm.

On DPJ's long run, Gentry threw a nice block. If he starts blocking well, look out.

Fumbled exchanges cost us dearly. That's got to get cleaned up. On the first and goal fumbled exchange, their was a nice push up front that would have probably put the ball near the goal line if not in, and on the second fumbled exchange, it looked like Crawford had some room to the outside.

Onwenu gave up a bad sack at the 8:40 mark of the second quarter, but I actually think he had a pretty good first half. Maybe he was brutal in the second half, but I haven't watched it yet.

And a question: Why even have replay? That was a catch by Perry and should have been overturned.

Hurricane is getting close ... Don't know if I'll keep power long enough to watch the second half.

Everyone enjoy the win and Go Blue!
