Tru Wilson is solid. His vision may be the best of the RB's. Blocks well, catches the ball, runs hard...I think we see more of him. He doesn't have the breakaway speed of Evans or Higdon but can pick up some nice chunks. Reminds me a lot of Mike Hart.
Need to unleash Shea. Let him audible if he's not already. Gentry in the seam is a play those two can work all day. And his back shoulder throw to DPJ was spot on.
It looked like we came out bland today by design. Seemed like the plan was to wear them down and not show much. We just don't have the hauses up front to do it at this point. If we can keep Warriner on staff I think next year's OL could be pretty darn good. Right now though we don't have the horses.
Defensive backfield is solid but has its warts. Hill is still too handsy, and the slant from the slot is something we just don't defend well. Would like to see Don Brown drop a LB into that passing lane for some disruption. Metellus is much improved in coverage though. And really all our guys are in tight coverage...sometimes plays just get made. Hope Watson and the rest can get/stay healthy as we'll need everyone against the likes of Penn State and O$U.
McKeon has disappeared. I think he's blocking well but he has yet to emerge as a formidable target this year.
Win is a win is a win. Move on, get healthy, and focus on stopping Martinez and Nebraska.
