We live in a country and society where we want it all and we want it now. Lets take a trip down memory lane. 3-9; losing to Utah, Toledo, Illinois, Purdue, northwestern.... in the same year!!! the worst season in 129 years of Michigan football. Things got a little better the next year but we still lose to illinois and purdue that year. (I'm not even mentioning MSU and OSU). MSU rose to prominence and punched big brother in the face. Then there was the humiliating Koumbya at the banquet. Michigan Football had fallen as low as we had seen in our lifetimes. But we had Dave Brandon to fix everything. He was one of Bo's boys who loved Michigan and would stop at nothing to restore the glory. Or so we thought. That petulant, thin-skinned insecure moron sent an asst to court Jim in a half hearted FU attempt to hire him. Jim saw right through it and Brady Hoke was brought in. We were Michigan again. We had a tough guy from Sandusky Ohio who embraced the tradition and would bring us back with toughness and running the ball. As much as I love Brady as a person, he was a defensive line coach trying to win at an elite level and simply was not up to the task. By nothing short of a miracle, the stars aligned like they never have before (and never will again). Jed York decides to fire one the best coaches in all of football, Brady leads the team to 3-5 in the big ten and 5-7 overall, Dave brandon dumb emails to alumni...you know the rest of the story. We are so lucky to be in the situation we are in. We have a coach who lives, breathes and sleeps football. He has a zest and joy for life like Ive never seen in sports. we can draw a direct line from Bo to Jack to Jim. He is Bo reincarnated as an offensive genius. He's recruiting big time talent at levels we may not have seen before. Speed type talent. He doesn't take crap from the SEC bullies or anyone for that matter. He's funny, tough, witty, quirky, smart, a football savant and an overall good dude. He's a combination of John Wayne and Omar Little in a maize and blue Jordan pullover . Oh yeah, and he loves Michigan. Like really loves Michigan. So I know we are all sick of losing to our rivals. The train is just getting going. Enjoy the ride everyone. And remember how bad it was and how good it is and how much better its going to get.
