I moved to Dayton, OH in 1991 so I have a lot of Buckeye friends. I ran into an old golf buddy yesterday that is an OSU grad and former marching band member. He likes to remind me that he went to 4 rose bowls as part of the band in the early 70’s.
I jokingly asked him where he was watching the game Saturday and kiddingly told him Urban was having a watch party at the Varsity Club since he wasn’t allowed out of the state yet. He proceeded to tell me that Tuesday night he received a fund raising call from OSU and he told them to take him off the list until President Drake and Urban Meyer are gone. He said he will continue to donate to the marching band but will not support a university that has a president that lacks the courage to fire a coach that is a liar and disgrace to OSU.
He’s obviously in the minority but was refreshing to hear an OSU supporter stand up for doing the right thing.
