Softball question: Is it just me...

I hear that, so are we!

Sincerely,
Penn State fans

I'm going to dredge up a BWI Volleyball thread, and compare it versus mgoblog.

Specifically, how does the volleyball thread compare to mgoblog's 475 (!!)-post thread on the softball B1G Championship? A game that didn't even start until 10:30 on a Saturday night?

At least 70% of those posts HAD to be posted from someone's basement. :)

I'm not a wrestling fan, but I'll recognize that as a sport with a niche and devoted fan base. Sort of like Ice Hockey and Lacrosse. Selling out MSG for 5 sessions over the course of 3-consecutive days (this past March's NCAA finals) is not easy.

It is amazing how many UM softball fans that attend the games. Ever see the bleachers? Dang. Much more popular than baseball. I am starting to think it's football then hockey and then a close 3rd between softball and basketball.

Or is Ms. Romero's mom finer than her.

BTW We (Gophers) are kind of awesome in sports nobody cares about.

Best of luck in the NCAAs. hopefully our Women's Softball teams represent well.

Sorry, forgot to put G.A. in the title
I do appreciate the not to subtle way to remind us of the Minnesota tournament title :).

Well done. Minnesota deserved to win and UM deserved to lose.

Softball fans got made fun of and run off this board a couple years ago. Can't speak for the MGo board.

Long story, but there has been a running joke about the awesomeness of Michigan softball. True that the team has been awesome, but I think it was born out of frustration with the RichRod/ Hoke eras in a well we have that to cheer for kind of way.

Trust me, I can relate...

I really, really, like watching Womens Volleyball...:D

This is definitely a part of it for the old pervy Penn State fans. 70-year-old guys with sig pics of 20-year-old women. Little bit sad.
Heading in another direction here, what is the backround on this Skunk bear, Marshall and 30 other alias thing. I vaguely remember a feud these guys had.

Confession. My fiance'e played Volleyball in college. ((STP looks up counselling services...))

Let me know the name of that counselor :)

My high school girlfriend was 6-0 and played volleyball, got a scholarship to Northern Iowa. My college girlfriend was 5-9, played HS volleyball. The gal I married was 5-11 and played volleyball at the D-2 level .......

Ha! I had another Volleyball player in my past. BTW My Fiance'e is only 5'7" That's why she played DIII. I can't believe the "trees" I see now. 6'1" to 6'5" is actually pretty common.

Nice ..... yeah, the "trees" --- there is a limit. I like tall, but 6-1 (I'm 6 foot even) is probably my limit.

I had a recent colleague who was 6-3, she played volleyball at a D-1 school --- nice enough gal but she sort of freaked me out.
