For a couple of years in a row, a cool Michigan fan offered a pen & ink sketch each week to the closest prediction. Well apparently we do not have that this year. Just big bragging rights for a week. So what do you have? I think it is another big win for us this year, in a nearly vacant Big House, but I cannot quite see Spartina screwing up quite so violently on what?, S E V E N total turnovers ? as last week, despite relentless pressure on Lombardi (or will they chance going with that young kid?) Rocky L. most likely.
This is Spartina's 'national championship' game. Their new coach dissed us by refusing to call us by name ("that team down the road"). I personally hope we do (what few of you on here probably recall Muhammed Ali screaming to an opponent that refused to say 'Ali' instead of 'Cassius Clay')...and beat Sparty senseless with the mantra "What's our NAME ?"...maybe right before we score our FIFTH or SIXTH touchdown.
Maybe you guys think I'm being too conservative, but I will say that Spartina scores (again) late in the 4th quarter against our bench, to avoid complete embarrassment. I'm calling us matching posted odds.
