Of the many takeaways we had, here are two highlights:
- Offense: Michigan rushed the ball between the tackles nine times for five a total of five yards (not including sacks and quarterback scrambles). In comparison, the Wolverines ran it outside the tackles 16 times for 109 yards (6.8 yards per carry) and three touchdowns.
- Defense: Perhaps the lone bright spot in the defensive backfield, sophomore safety Daxton Hill was targeted five times and allowed just one reception for eight yards. He was specifically outstanding in guarding MSU redshirt sophomore wideout Jayden Reed, who hauled in a team-high 11 catches for 128 yards and two touchdowns the week prior, allowing zero receptions on four targets when lined up over him Saturday. Hill also graded out as Michigan's fourth-best run defender (76.5) and its best tackler (84.5).
