Some concern but the latest round is not bad.

Had my MRI at MD Anderson on Monday and my appointment with my oncologist on Tuesday. There were mixed results from the MRI results. The whiteish area that they have been focusing on where my tumor was removed widened a slight amount. A white area can be another tumor or just a result of the radiation I had or the chemo I am taking. The area we are focusing on has had a whiteish color since the radiation started.

However, the oncologist is leaning more to that what is showing on the MRI is most likely due to the effects of my previous radiation and/or current chemo treatment. She said that the area did not widen at a rate that would be typical of another glioblastoma, but she is being very aggressive in tracking the area so I will have another MRI in 4 weeks. It also could be just based on the position of my head in the MRI machine this time compared to the position my head was the last time. The MRI will be from the current machine and not the specialized MRI that they used the last time they wanted to take a closer look and do a wider range of tests.

My other tests (bloodwork, memory tests, physical coordination, and vision) were all within normal or excellent ranges. My monthly chemo run will start tonight and run thru Sunday, not any fun but has to be done.

I have been doing pretty well. Jogged a 5k this morning when the rain cleared and had a great fly fishing trip the week before at Roaring River State Park in Missouri.

God's Graces and Blessings abound and we are quite thankful for these results. As always, thank you for your many thoughts and prayers.
