Jim is very thoughtful on various levels how these players (and others) and their families should be honored. He's asking the right people and getting very positive support.
There is going to be a special program for former, current and future players that both JHs' are on board with that will not only celebrate the player, the school, but the legacy of their number in a way that it will become tradition and part of each Team. It basis is on the team, the team, the team yet each teammate will get equal recognition. As a former player I can say it's way, way cool (regardless of era).
There will also be an effort to create a social network that has a special purpose for past, present and future Wolverines. Coach Harbaugh or Mr. Hackett will be making annoucements soon on these efforts.
Michigan is moving toward something special in many different avenues. Every day Hackett is doing something towards that end.
Bo used to say,"whether the team knew it or not every day, every practice, we did something to prepare for Ohio State". Jim and I laugh about that now because that's how he's approaching Michigan. Every day he's doing something to make the Athletic Department, better, stronger, ready to take on the next decade.
It's fun to be around this again.......it's not about today, it's about tomorrow.
