I have always heard players talk about the NFL being a league for Warriors especially on the defensive line. I am sure Rashan has all the physical attributes to be a great pro and I know he was often double and triple teamed but Chase has such a great motor and warrior mindset. I have to say, although I know I will get push back, that for me Gary was not what I expected from the No. 1 player in the country in recruiting. He may be a great kid and an awesome individual but my barometer has to be based on what I see on the football field. Chase, if he gets in the right scheme for his talents, has the toughness and nastiness to be successful.
Regarding Gary leaving early and sitting out the Bowl Game(I know about his shoulder and Peppers and Butt hurt their draft status sustaining injuries in bowl games) this year has left me flat. I can't help but feel the OSU game should have been the chance to show why he was #1 recruit in the nation and he didn't. Then announcing Monday after the OSU game, with all the pain still there, he chose to announce that he was entering the draft. To me it spoke more about him and not the team. Didn't surprise me he is sitting out Peach Bowl. We get a good start to replace him.
I wish both the best but in the years to come in the NFL my money is on the Wolverine Warrior Chase Winovich to have a better career. Go Blue
