Should We Be Mad?

What are we so angry about...or is anxious a better word?
I think we all expected more from the Michigan offense and the fear that it is not going to significantly improve is what I think we're worried about. They went against a great defense in the Spring and Fall camp and figured "iron sharpens iron" right? That with another year under his belt, Speight would simply build on the progress made last season. The offensive line we knew was young but could it be worse than the glaring deficiencies we felt lady year's line had. We felt the receivers, although young, were supremely talented and would make up for the loss of Darboh, Lewis, and Butt.
We now see Speight struggle, almost regress from last year and the projection based on the trend we've seen is worse, not better the rest of this year. That may be partly the result of the line's miscues so far and Speight's lack of confidence perhaps in that unit. Who knows...but I think we all acknowledge that unless there is significant improvement in the offense very quickly, no game left on it schedule is a given.
We hear about the famous coaches that in their third year either got their team into the national championship game or won it and I guess we expected the same from Harbaugh. Blame some of this reaction to those expectations and it may be unfair. Its just that the Rodriguez and Hoke eras were such a disaster that we're desperate for results. I'm not sure this team will be able to deliver on those expectations we have but well get to see more evidence of a trend today... That will be either a positive trend or a negative trend (more of the same I would consider a negative trend).
Geese I hope we see the former!
