Shea's completion percentage for the season is 67.0%.

1. That means he is having the most accurate season ever for a Michigan QB (min. 100 attempts). Todd Collins held the record fat 65.3% in 1992. Jim Harbaugh (1986) is tied for 2nd with Elvis Grbac (1991) at 65.0%. Shea's 67.0% is good for 19th nationally (Notre Dame's Book is 1st at a whopping 74.5%; Haskins is 6th at 69.7%).

2. Shea is now the most accurate Michigan QB for his Michigan career. To qualify for most accurate passing career, a Michigan QB needs at least 200 attempts. Shea is exactly at 200 (while at Michigan). His 67% stands above Todd Collins, who was 64.3% for his career. Only 6 Michigan QB's (excluding Shea) cracked the 60% threshold: Collins, Rudock, Grbac, Harbaugh, Brady, Gardner. Even if you added his 2017 season at Ole Miss, Shea would still be the most accurate.

3. Last year Michigan QBs combined to complete just 53.5% of their passes. That extra 13.5% improvement sure makes a difference.

4. Shea's passer rating is 157.1. Since he now has 200 passes, that means he crushes Grbac's career record of 148.1. But 157.1 is only good enough to tie Shea's coach (1986) for 8th on the top 10 efficiency seasons. Bob Chappius has the record at 173.3 in 1947 (min. 100 attempts). Shea's rating is good for 16th nationally (Kyler Murry is 1st with an absurd 216.6).
