James and I had been texting back and forth over a couple of weeks after he was promoted to defensive coordinator at Hope College, but hadn't been able to nail down a time to have a full conversation. I grew up in Holland, MI where Hope is located and by chance we bumped into each other. We committed to speak more soon and what happened next was one of the most incredible conversations in my life.
