Ah, featuring the traditional season-ending series with Arizona State.
The Mel Era starts with a pretty long bus ride to upstate NY - such a road trip that the next weekend is open. But, with the B1G having actual playoffs this year and therefore the regular season having to end earlier, we have fewer open weekends, which is good IMO.

Interesting side note for the opener. St Lawrence has a very, very good goalie. (.930+ save percentages good--I think he was 2nd team All America) The rumor is that he's trying to finish up work to graduate and wants to grad transfer to Wisconsin. So we may not see him in the opener, but then would likely see him down the road. The Wisco media said he wants to transfer but there are still a few hurdles to clear.
IMHO, ASU will be part of the B1G, like Notre Dame is.
While their location fits with the NCHC, the kid of athletic program ASU is only fits with the rest of the B1G.
