In the Badgers second straight season-opening loss, Matt Ustaski and Tim Davidson supplied the offense with a goal apiece for Wisconsin who outshot Alaska-Anchorage 29-25.
Providence 2 Ohio State 1 (OT)
The Buckeyes and Providence switched roles from Ohio State's Friday night overtime win. Luke Stork tied the game for the Buckeyes, 1-1, midway through the third period before Providence scored the eventual winner in Ohio State's contribution to the Big Ten/Hockey East Challenge.
Penn State 7 UConn 1
Senior Taylor Holstrom scored two of Penn State's seven-goal outburst and added an assist in the Nittany Lions' 7-1 home victory.
Note: Minnesota and RPI will tangle Sunday for the Icebreaker Tournament championship in South Bend, IN. Update: Minnesota beats RPI, 3-0, to win the Icebreaker.
