The biggest question of the Harbaugh era so far is - Why can't Michigan's offense execute in road games? If you throw out the 78 points @ Rutgers in 2016 and the 48 points @ Indiana in 2015, Michigan's offense is averaging only 23.1 points per game in 13 road games during the Harbaugh era. In 5 of those 13 games they scored less than 20 points.
The defense has been consistently good on the road (with a few notable exceptions - Indiana '15 and PSU '17). But the offense just never seems to look the same even against bad teams.
I have no idea why this is. But it just looks like the entirety of the offense just falls apart - the play calling, the game planning, the intensity, the blocking, the execution. The whole thing just falls apart when they leave Ann Arbor. At home the offense is usually a juggernaut.
Any ideas?
