One action does not define a man??? Really??? I really hope you consider removing yourself and your nonsensical views from this board or think 10x before you speak.

Wow...a real life militant. By the way...I noticed you didn't answer my question. Would you like to be defined by your worst act. Please let the board know the worst act that you have done on this earth..whatever may be and the board will give you an idea of what we think of you.

Keep trying. You do realize that most people would agree with me and disagree with you right? That most people don't think Paterno is a bad person but made a serious mistake. Are you any better than some of the PSU fans who blindly support everything Paterno did?

I think you should step back and not be so militant. Please let us know the worst act that you have done in your life so we can judge that act in the context of your entire life.

Very well said and completely agree! Simply repulsive.

I still stand by my comments. Making a poor judgement and causing harm to people by being complicit and lack of action should not eradicate a lifetime of being a good husband or father or helping thousands of people.

By the logic of the original poster...Bill Clinton should only be defined by Monica Lewinsky or Nixon only by Watergate and nothing else. Seems harsh. I think Michnittlion linked the appropriate article talking about learning lessons and not destroying culpable parties.

In all 3 cases...Paterno, Clinton and Nixon...they all had character flaws that led to bad things. I would not label all 3 individuals not good people. As I have stated before...those who are willing to case the proverbial stone please let me know your worst act on this earth and whether you would want your entire life to be defined by that act. What is good for the goose is good for the gander.

One act certainly does define a man, when that act is rape, molestation, murder.

When it comes to Joe though. We're not talking about any of those acts. Instead we are talking about 40 years of willfully ignoring a friend committing one of those acts.

That absolutely plays into the definition of Joe as a man.

Really Clinton int he same sentence as Paterno? Paterno willingly ingored his coaches molesting young children - Clinton, had an affair with an adult intern. Really? By your token does that mean a person that takes a life should be judged the same way as someone that runs a red light? Man you need some serious help dude. Hope you eventually find it!

I absolutely agree is SHOULD be part of the story of a man and should partially define a man. No question.

I used some other examples of individuals who shouldn't be necessarily entirely defined by some of their behaviors. Did I equate those examples with Paterno being complicit in covering up molestation.

I did not. When I think of you...I think guy with angry vein. Crazy guy. Not playing with a full deck.

Honestly...and I mean this. People I know like me. They think I am funny and I am blessed to have many friends both young and old. Not perfect but no one thinks they should be scared in my presence.

You have a projection problem. You do have a screw loose. Ever once in a while I run into a prospective client or individual who really has some sort of mental issue that they may not be aware of. You are one of those guys.

I personally recommend getting some help. If you have insurance you may be able to get some mental attention. Check it out. This is what Obamacare was intended to provide...help for people in need. I wish you well.

You may be able to get some medication. Don't they call it Xanax or something like that?
