I got some great help from the Fort on my Phoenix/San Diego trip with my son.

First Phoenix. High of 117 both days. 100 at midnight. I’ve never been on the surface of the sun but this must be how it feels. Not my cup of tea for a former Yooper. After 15-20 minutes outside, we had enough.
Piazza Bianco was recommended by many and for good reason. Fantastic Neopolitan pizza. I’d go back.
Tratto is in the Pizzeria Bianco family. Family style Italian food. It was good, not great. Probably would be better to go as a group of 4 or more. The wine list wasn’t huge but had a ton of really cool stuff. Calling martyk.
We went to the Arrogant Butcher for lunch. Glorified bar food but solid. Cool space. Very good service.
The game against the Dodgers was dreary. More LA fans than AZ. Dbacks are just dreadful.

On to SD. The weather was perfect. Low of 65. High of 73. We went to 2 games. Loved the park. 2 well played games against the Reds. Cronenworth was good. The organ player played the Victors after one of his hits.
We went to Roy’s for lunch. Been to Roy’s a few times. Went there because it was next to hotel.
Whoever recommended Juniper & Ivy is a genius. Best meal of the weekend. Great service. Better food. I would go back anytime in town.
Parma Cucina Italiano was very solid Italian place. Not great but solid.
For those that live in SD, I don’t envy your taxes and cost of living. Gas was crazy expensive. The weather was phenomenal.

Thanks to everyone for your advice.
