The team has heard for the entire week about how lucky they were to escape Minnesota and how Washington will win on Saturday. Like USC, I think you'll see a very inspired effort by the group.
On the other hand, not getting the Washington hype by the media, whose best win is still Eastern Michigan. Yes, they should have beat Rutgers - but does even a close win against Rutgers mean you've turned a corner as a team?
Washington game is very winnable. This team is not great against the run, even when stacking 8 in the box vs. Rutgers. WSU begged them to win their game with two fourth-quarter turnovers and a turnover on downs. UW still couldn't pull it off.
Offensively, they throw for a lot of yards and move the ball well between the 20s. However, they're awful in the red zone and terrible on special teams.
Figure out a way to win field position and sustain some drives on offense to give the defense a rest, and we'll come out with a win. If not, we will probably lose close.
