Seems like we have lost Harris. All things considered, I did not even consider him as the 5 most important recruits we really needed to land. My order of recruits that we really need to land are (top 10):
  1. Wilson - gone to Georgia
  2. DPJ - to Michigan...we really needed some WR depth
  3. Ruiz - to Michigan
  4. Filiaga - TBD
  5. Tariq Black - to Michigan
  6. Ambry Thomas - to Michigan
  7. Nico Collins - TBD
  8. Jordan Anthony - to Michigan
  9. Drew Singleton - to Michigan
  10. Dylan McCaffery - to Michigan
I think we are set at RB and quite frankly if you have a great O-line, you can find a lot of serviceable RBs that you can recruit. I think the Wilson miss was a very big miss. JH has not recruited that position well in his first 2 class - Newsome was the best but I personally doubt he plays football because his next injury could prevent him from walking. Spanelis? Unzio? Not really your bruisers that you need in the class. I do think a line of Filiaga, Ruiz, and Bredeson could be formidable but having Wilson in there would have been sweet for future years.

While Harris would have been nice we really needed some CBs, another QB, and tons of stud WRs in this class because those are positions outside of the OL we would have been hurting in. Overall this will still be a great class and personally if you told me you could get Harris but not Filiaga or Ruiz, I would not take that deal.

I expect we probably take only 2 more recruits (Filiaga and Nico) and if somehow Gay joins us, then that is a bonus but we will likely be done. Would be nice to get Becton if possible but doubt that happens. I do expect Kai LH likely decommits once all is said and done so OL recruits are still needed. Personally if I were JH I would go to any OL that Wisconsin recruits and just tell them they have an offer to come to Michigan - that team always opens up running lanes :)

Also, the 2 players that once all is said and done will likely be better then their rankings suggest in my opinion are:
  1. Hanigford - I think he ends up starting by 2019 and ends up being solid for 3 years.
  2. Tariq Black - he has the size and speed and ability to find open spots - I think he may end up being the best WR down the road.
Go Blue!

Rationalization. A great rb always trumps a great LT.

Biakabutuka or Long. Now, Filiaga and Ruiz with OL problems with Walker and Evans vs. losing Harris...o.k.

I know people already understand this but a superstar just causes all sorts of problems for opponents. Samuel was the guy who beat UM...not the refs. You take Barkley off of PSU and I can assure you that PSU doesn't win more than 7-8 games this year.

Here is a question for you. Name me a great team in college football history (National Champion) that didn't have a 1st round skill position player. I am sure it has happened but NO guy that was drafted in the 1st round in the NFL within 2 years and was a major contributor.

By the way, not saying you don't need a great line or great tackles but if you are asking me whether I want Adrian Peterson or Barry Sanders or Walter Payton or Eric Dickerson or Emmitt Thomas or Jim Brown or Gale Sayers or Tony Dorsett vs. Anthony Munoz then you know where I stand.
