think that Michigan will add Zack Harrison, Jalen Perry, Trevor Keegan, and Mike Sainristil. If that is how the class finishes Michigan would most likely end up in the top 5. Especially if players like Charbonnett, Jones, Ojabo, and Turner get they ratings bump they deserve.
I think the class would be great for a few reasons. First, it would bring in a lot of high end talent. Hinton, Harrison, Hill, Charbonnett, and Rumler each have All American potential. They all could make an instant impact next season in my opinion (well probably not Rumler but only because we have great depth on the Oline). They are the type of elite high end recruits you need to compete for championships.
Second, the class is filled with lower rated guys with high ceilings. Players like Johnson, Jackson, All, Jones, Ojabo, Turner, and Johnson all have a lot of athletic ability and could be NFL guys if they reach their potential. They may not make an immediate impact but the have the athletic ability to develop into great college players.
Third, there is a balance of players with high floors who fit our system well. I’m not sure guys like McNamara, Kent, Keegan, Barnhart, Carpenter, Stewart, Smith, Newburg, Johnson, Thomas, and Velazquez will be day one or two draft picks. But I’m am confident that they will develop into quality college football players that will be around the program for a while. Programs need those type of players to help sustain their levels of success.
Lastly, the group does a nice job of addressing team needs. I think they fit together nicely with the previous three classes and really help balance out the roster. I’m excited to see what this class can do at Michigan. Not bad for a class that a lot of folks had written off in June.
