I was thinking today about the mess we have and all the cooks in the kitchen. What is the extent of Harbaugh’s role in all of this? I can’t say but if he is also complicating things he might need to take a step back as well. His biggest value is running the program and hyper attention to qb development. UM should be premier at that position.

What I am hoping happens is UM brings in a creative up and coming mind to modernize this offense. I would suggest we stick with a power scheme and really emphasize the TE position. Think NE patriots a few years back. Get those big guys the ball and play action to our talented young wr to take the top off. Another thing how do you not have a simple slant hot route in the playbook? That is a basic blitz buster. Also you can’t have a cordinator that doesn’t want to recruit. This is college football for god sakes. I suspect this has cost us some much needed tackle recruits over the last few years we are in much need of right now.

No more co-offensive coordinators. An upgrade and focus on rb, wr, and Oline coaches need to happen with both development and recruiting. Qb..Jimmy you need to make it happen. It’s disapointing it has to be mentioned. Qb is the great equalizer in football.

Oline is most likely in rebuild mode again next year. We need to get Wheatley working full time at that LT spot and groom him for next year. At right tackle Filaga and Runyan need to develop quickly and fill that role. We have far to many guys focusing on the gaurd position.

Defense I am fine with. McCray is a coverage weakness along with coverage at the safety position. Shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone. I expect the latter will improve with experience and a continued upgrade in athleticism. McCray will cycle out next year and I expect the younger guys to be better at coverage in the future. Until then teams know how to attack this defense.
