I don't know and none of you know exactly why Miller decided not to play football any more. It is completely asinine to question the kid's character, toughness, fondness for country club atmospheres, blah blah blah. That is talking out of your rear end and nothing more.
What I do know is that it's never a good thing to lose an experienced multi year starter who was voted your best OL last year. Even if he lost his starting job -- and we don't even know that one week into spring practice -- he still would have been an asset if he was on the roster for 2015.
Good luck to Jack in whatever he decides to do next. He deserves to be treated with some modicum of respect and appreciation for all the work and sweat, and no doubt sometimes blood, that he gave on behalf of Michigan football.
