Goes undefeated in the regular season, dominates every opponent it faces, is a complete shoo-in for the playoff, and thinks it is BS that after such utter domination it even has to risk a playoff spot/injuries to key players by playing in its conference championship game. So the team just plays all its backups, etc. and basically treats it like an exhibition, and loses.
Would the committee actually drop them out of the playoff and cling to the “conference championship is as meaningful as any other game” mindset? Or would they understand the situation and still let them in?
