...These things are awesome!

As an East Coast transplant to Northern California, I'd never heard of this wonderful edible items until 15 years ago.

Had some here and there, but mostly baked tart dishes or as garnish.

My good neighbor brought me over a box of two dozen this weekend harvested from his tree.

Deer lowered, these are better than the best apple or pear I've ever had!

Not juicy, but sweet and crunchy.

Eat like an apple or slice and eat with a good cheese and some wine.
