People are creatures of habit
Our outlook on things, our job, our life, our standards are relatively consistent
At some point many of us can stop being aspirational
If a player, coach, professional or a salesperson is working at a certain level, consistently for a period of time their expectations become their ceiling and their ceiling becomes their expectation.
If a major league player has been a .260 hitter for 5 years, they don't suddenly become a .300 hitter, even if they have always had the ability to be a .300 hitter

Plateau
I love Coach Jim Harbaugh, but I am getting a feeling that he is on his plateau
To get beyond his plateau, Harbaugh needs to be a climber not a camper
He needs to have unrelenting urgency, high emotional energy and higher standards for what he will accept from himself, his players and his staff

The Press Conference
When I watched his press conference I did not see it
Can you imagine if Bo was coaching and his team did that Saturday? How about Bill Belichick?
That press conference would have been a whole lot different.
This week of practice would be very very tough.

Raising Standards
Before its about offense, defense or special teams it about raising standards
Preparation for that game did not reflect the high standards of a true demanding competitor
Jim Harbaugh needs to raise his standards
