Michigan is up to 21 commits this cycle and four wide receivers. As I've mentioned this week, right now, the plan is not to take five at the position. With that said, Michigan did send out an official offer to Rivals250 WR Jayden Thomas today. I would expect Michigan to keep in contact since he's not making a decision until later in the fall.
An ideal number this class is 27. But you never know if another spot will open up due to a transfer/attrition. On top of that, if Michigan has worst case scenario happen along the OL and they miss on both Kendall/Rocco then that would open a spot. Missing on David and not liking secondary safety options would open a spot. Missing on Rooks would open a spot. Etc.
I'm not expecting those situations to happen right now, but it's recruiting, and you never want to completely cut off contact with a guy you like because numbers are tight.
