Quick game review 5 minutes after...

Pluses:
1. Freaking Rudock threw 6 TDs to three different receivers!
2. I think our passing game has improved
3. Boy did we do well tossing the ball
4. Specia...ah, Rudock sure scrambled well

Negatives:
1. Our defense is hopelessly lost in Ft. Wayne looking for the elevated train
2. We have no running game, really, except Smith who plays the part of human pinata
3. We have no discipline
4. We have forgotten how to tackle, hit hard, or control the line
5. Our special teams are decidely unspecial

Okay, and we're Hoke-like 8-2 (with two paper victories at Minny and Indy)

Without Ruddock we likely lose to Minn and IU and would have not had a lead against MSU. Nobody else showed up today. Our injuries are taking a toll and we have a talent void right now. I expect we may be wise next year and it might be 2018 before the real JH team shows up. We will have no LBs or WRs next year. I will still take 8-2 at this point

No WRs? Have you seen our recruiting list and how Chesson and Darboh are developing? The passing game is coming along great, but you're very correct about the LBs, that's a real point of concern if we cannot get any push or difference makers out of seniors. We also need a RB that can make a differnece.

We will lose the following players likely next year:

• Ruddock
• Darboh
• Chesson
• Butt (bummer)
• Wormley
• Bolden (thank god)
• Morgan
• Lewis (likely a 2nd round NFL pick though lacks size)
• Glasgow

That's a lot of folks leaving that we have to replace. I think we will be more then fine at O-line and QB, it's our RBs that have me worried as well as our LBs and WRs for next year. Canteen has been a complete bust. Harris will likely not be with the team next year (my prediction). Cole looks like he will be kicked off the team. Basically Perry, Bunting, & Ways will have to shoulder the load until Mitchell learns the college game.

It's taken Chesson and Darboh 4 years to develop finally - 5 actually I think. It takes time and we have no depth given that Canteen and Harris are busts and Cole will likely be kicked off the team. We don't have bodies to play WR next year.
