Have been unable to get in touch with the four-star linebacker out of Pembroke Pines (Fla.) Flanagan, so I touched base with his father (and high school coach) Devin Sr. He said Junior really enjoyed the visit, and Michigan is definitely going to be in the mix. However, he didn't want to speak too much about his son's innermost thoughts - both out of a lack of in-depth knowledge and wanting to let his son speak for himself.
He did say that, as far as he knows, there's no relation with U-M Director of Player Advancement Gwendolyn Bush, but given that they're from the same area, there's a good chance there's some familial connection far back. The lack of a direct familiar relationship didn't stop them from jokingly referring to each other as "cuz" all weekend.
