The answer to this question will hopefully never matter. But murmurs were Dan Villari and a lot of wildcat was gonna be our QB situation against OSU. And it's not unreasonable to get at minimum solid, but unspectacular play from a walk-on at the college game; or even better (i.e. Brian Griese and Matt McGloin at QB).
Does Villari getting the nod mean he might be better than expected - as a 2-star "flier" recruit, not much more expectation than a walk-on - and he's a true freshman?
Does this mean our QB cupboard is completely bare? I vaguely remember Harbaugh getting PWO commits at the QB position. Would have kind of expected one of the older guys to at least have his name in the mix. Any buzz on the walk-ons at all?
Just wondering as we head into a "50/50" chance at a game on December 19th, and the possibility of McNamara, McCarthy and Villari as our depth chart next year. Not exactly "deep."
