Question for those okay with players sitting out bowl games.

For the record, while I don’t like it, I understand it.

Since the prevailing thought is players do it to protect from injury, it’s a “meaningless game”, etc, what are your thoughts if players start doing it mid-season? Say it’s s season like last year where we’re eliminated from the Big Ten and playoff pretty early. What happens if players start deciding the rest of the season is meaningless and they don’t want to get injured and affect their NFL stock. It’s a slippery slope and yes, eventually I could see it happening.

Obviously it could have an affect on other teams, but are players looking out for their own future going to really care about that?
