Question for our visiting Iowa friends

My thoughts are he is a class act. He will retire at Iowa and in the day and age of hiring and firing coaches every 2 of 3 years his 20 years at Iowa is impressive. I have deep respect for that man and what he has accomplished at Iowa with mostly 2-3 star recruits and walk-ons

My thought is he has built up enough good-will with the state, university, AD to warrant the extension. I thought 10 years was too many but in this day and age of recruiting I can see why.

I dont think he is here in 5 years or less however. I think he gets out before too long and really wants his son Brian to be in position to get the job. We will see how it plays out but would be shocked if he is there past 2020.

Too long of a contract and too big of a buyout. I doubt he quits anytime soon, but if he decides to hang it up next year, I won't be upset about it.

well, he is a class act. Reminds me of LC. Hasn't changed offense or defense in years. Grueling effective. Had one of the best and classy DCs in Norm Parker. Quality program, he won't Tressel or embarrass Iowa. What more can you ask for in a coach?
