Do any of you guys know if they are currently in need of (or even accepting) any kind of walk-in volunteers that can further assist in setting up the shelter at the convention center downtown? My flight is scheduled to land in Dallas on Friday afternoon, and my hotel is apparently right down the street from the convention center, so I figure that if they need any warm bodies to help with unskilled labor like setting up rows of cots, carrying loads of supplies off of trucks into the building, etc., I might try to set aside a few hours to go over there and help out.
