When watching college football, I often find myself amazed with the QB play of other teams. More specifically, the teams we see often at the top of the polls seem to have QBs that can gain yards with their feet if the passing attack fails. So, I went to check it out. Interesting.
Do you think Alabama's QB gains yards with his feet? Well he is number 2 on the team and has more yards than any Michigan back.
Clemson? 393 yards so far and number 2 on the Clemson team.
OSU? JT has 359 yards so far and is number 2 on the team.
PSU? 254 yards so far ....and you guessed it, number 2 on the team.
Then I went to check our QB rushing stats.....they are negative given the sack yardage.
Now I am not saying this is a definitive issue or will ease our struggles but it seems to me facing a QB with the ability to gain yards adds another issue for defenses to account for.
