Sucks about WS - though seems like he may be available. However, a few years ago when OSU made their run they did it in similar fashion and the team rolled. I think the one luxury we have this year is that O'Korn is actually a very good backup. Outside of OSU, O'Korn would have started for all the other BIG teams this year including Iowa. That's a good luxury to have. I have less of an issue with the QB, I think he will find his timing I have a greater issue with the play of the O-line from last week - they need to play with rage. Kalis played his worst game of the season and that has to change.

This is where depth comes in handy and hopefully we can leverage that depth. The one player I think we miss quite a bit is Grant Perry. He has a knack for being open 10 yards down field and without him we have pretty much had to rely on the long-ball once Butt is covered. We have had no short-yardage passing game since he has been out. Hopefully he gets his shit together and comes back soon.

The Grant Perry who caught 1 pass for 10 yards Saturday night?
Not gonna sit here & say O'Korn can't do the job, but it's been a lonnnng time since he's seen any action in a meaningful game. Keeping fingers crossed that he can bring back some of his 1st year Houston magic!

It's a good thing we are playing IU because O'Korn can probably get himself acclimated to the game a bit.

One thing that I think helped with Cardale Jones and his run during 2014, was that opposing coaches had very limited film on the player, and the adjustments that the coaches would make in the gameplay for that player's strengths and weaknesses. Even if the head coach says that the scheme will remain the same, there are things that individuals do better or worse than others.

That would be one advantage with O'Korn.

The good news for Michigan is they don't rely heavily on massive passing yards from their QB and that helps too. O'Korn is not going to be asked to toss 3 TDs and 300 yards a game. That's the benefit of the very balanced team and I think OSU had the same advantage a few years ago.
