Yes, I feel the refs jobbed UM, the bad spot and the missed PI call on Grant on our 2nd possession on OT. However, should have never even come to that IMO. The freaking defense played on life support in the second half! The QB play was horrendous in both games we lost. Our play calling turned conservative, and we didn't take any shots downfield today. There's a reason for that, it's called zero trust in your QB! Absolutely zero mobility, too many throws behind open receivers, and a plain and simple fumble on a perfect snap on the one yard line. Even Ruddock was able to scramble occasionally, or, at least step up in the pocket to avoid a sack. It sure would be nice to run maybe a QB draw, or even a read option with the QB and not a DB at least once or twice a game. The read on this team was that Speight had to play just well enough not to lose any games, and in both losses he did not. Coincidentally enough, to both teams that had a small resemblance of a pass rush! Grant it, the run game has been hit and miss all year, and IMO, it's because if you can't throw deep and are inconsistent in your short game, how can the backs get anything going consistently when you face a stacked box just about the whole game? Obviously, not much in the cupboard in terms of QBs if we have to go out and pick up transfers (yes I know Speight was a Borgess recruit), blame that on Hoke and Borgess. I have to believe that the QBs Harbaugh has recruited are better play makers. Thank god for the defense this year, they've put the offense in position to be successful the majority of the season! Can Peters beat out Speight next year?

Sometimes I think he threw the ball too quickly fearing a impending hit. Might be gunshy from the Iowa game?

I hear ya, but, I guess then why play him if you're going to concede a big part of your offense? Disappointed we have no capable backup I suppose?
