I feel like I've seen it written that QB's basically can't improve their accuracy. It's an innate skill and either you have it or you don't. I think there may be some truth it that. Some. But it's certainly not a rule that defines players for their entire career.

This morning I was checking my fantasy football stats and low and behold Alex Smith is continuing to tear it up. A guy that no one would ever consider a fantasy monster is right there at the tip top of the league in fantasy. With a whopping 15 TD's and 0 INT's.

This is from a guy, who in his first 5 years in the league, had completion %'s of 50.9%, 58.1%, 48.7%, 60.5% and 59.6%. This year his completion % is 72.4%. http://www.espn.com/nfl/player/stats/_/id/8416/alex-smith

Who knows what kind of career Milton will have. He could stink or he could light it up. But I think there is some proof out there if people are willing to read it that completion % can be improved. Significantly. And none of us really know what he's dealing with at the high school level as far as receivers, pass distribution, coaching/fundamentals, etc...

The kid is a very good prospect and I'm glad UM is getting him. He will compete hard with Kevin Doyle, McCaffrey and the rest of the QB room. May the best player win :)
